Orthopaedic Department AZ Groeninge Kortrijk Kortrijk BELGIUM Frederick Michels is an experienced orthopaedic foot and ankle surgeon. He has special interest in minimally invasive techniques, percutaneous techniques, traumatology of the foot, forefoot disorders and ligament injuries of the ankle. He also conducts research in collaboration with IORT, KULAK, MIFAS by GRECMIP and the AIG. The main research projects are ankle instability and minimally invasive techniques in foot and ankle surgery. He obtained a PhD from KU Leuven with his research on ankle instability. He is often invited as a speaker at national and international conferences. He is an instructor at several scientific associations (MIFAS, EFAS, BFAS).
